BSR Effectively Implements Solutions to Elevate Corporate Culture
The conference was attended by Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR, Nguyen Viet Thang, General Director of BSR, members of the Board of Directors, Board of General Directors, Board of Supervisors, Factory Board of Directors, leaders of Professional Expertise Departments, representatives of mass organizations, the Cultural Ambassador Team, and PACE Institute of Management - the consulting unit implementing corporate culture solutions at BSR. The conference provided an opportunity for the entire leadership team and employees to reflect on achievements in corporate culture efforts while sharing solutions to elevate BSR’s corporate culture in the future.

Efforts to Build a Sustainable Corporate Culture
With the spirit of "We are One Team – One Goal," BSR continuously innovates its cultural activities to create a professional, efficient, and humane working environment. Corporate culture initiatives at BSR not only strengthen internal cohesion but also play a crucial role in conveying and spreading Petrovietnam’s core values. This helps shape the image of BSR employees as dedicated, responsible, and trustworthy individuals who are committed to the community.
In 2024, BSR organized various meaningful cultural and social welfare programs, such as "Petroleum Spring of Compassion – A Warm and Sharing Tet," which involved donating Tet gifts to disadvantaged households, visiting and encouraging employees and contractors on duty during the Lunar New Year, and more. Additionally, internal activities such as BSR Cultural Day, the BSR Open Sports Festival, the "Ready for 5th Turnaround" running race, and the "48 Days and Nights of Completing the 5th Overall Maintenance of Dung Quat Refinery" competition were successfully implemented. These programs not only enriched the spiritual life of employees but also reflected a spirit of solidarity and a strong sense of community responsibility.

BSR also places great emphasis on fostering a culture of learning and creativity within the company. Leadership skills training, creative thinking, and team management programs have been widely implemented. Notably, the company recorded 885 successfully registered initiatives, making BSR the leader in innovation across the entire corporation. This achievement underscores the company's commitment to continuous innovation and scientific research.

The corporate culture at BSR goes beyond movement-based activities—it is translated into concrete actions in business and production operations. Speaking at the conference, Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR, highly appreciated the relentless efforts of the entire BSR team in corporate communication and culture development. As BSR faces new challenges such as digital transformation, global economic competition, green energy trends, and workforce challenges, implementing corporate culture in alignment with national energy security is of utmost importance. BSR must continue to preserve and develop its unique cultural identity, fostering strong connections among employees, as well as between the company, its customers, and external partners. This will serve as motivation for every individual to maximize their potential, shine together, and build a fulfilling work environment.
Nguyen Viet Thang, General Director of BSR, also emphasized the critical role of digital culture in the new era. He highlighted the need for BSR to accelerate the application of information technology and digital communication to enhance corporate culture. Additionally, he stressed the importance of refining cultural standards such as safety culture, cost-saving culture, meeting culture, and internal communication culture, integrating them into a unified corporate identity. "Every BSR employee should be a cultural ambassador, contributing to a professional, modern, and innovative work environment. These cultural ambassadors should also spread positive values to customers, partners, and the community," shared the General Director.

The conference saw active contributions from members of the Board of Directors and leaders of Professional Expertise Departments, who proposed various solutions to enhance BSR’s corporate culture. These included improving the brand identity system in alignment with Petrovietnam’s energy transition strategy, strengthening leadership roles in guiding and directing corporate culture initiatives, enhancing supervision, evaluation, and recognition by regularly assessing and rewarding outstanding individuals who contribute to building and promoting BSR’s corporate culture, and expanding successful cultural models across all departments and the refinery.
During the conference, representatives from PACE Institute of Management highly praised BSR’s determination in implementing corporate culture initiatives. Having partnered with BSR since 2020, PACE expressed great pride in contributing to the success of BSR’s cultural development. The institute reaffirmed its commitment to continuing collaboration with BSR to preserve and elevate its unique corporate values.

Toward 2025: Developing a Diverse and Sustainable Corporate Culture
Recognizing its pioneering mission "for the community and society" as an integral part of corporate culture, BSR will continue to focus on preserving its unique cultural identity in 2025. Social welfare programs will be carried out systematically, ensuring timely and effective support, with special attention to caring for national contributors, organizing gratitude activities, and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Additionally, the company will host cultural, sports, competitions, and teambuilding activities to strengthen cohesion among employees.
BSR also aims to develop a diverse cultural model that aligns with the evolving times. The company will continue to promote the 5S methodology, create a creative, green, clean, and safe working environment, and ensure occupational health and safety. Furthermore, BSR will actively participate in corporate culture awards, reinforcing its position as a leading enterprise in corporate culture development and enhancement.
The BSR workforce will persist in deepening, spreading, and enhancing the core values of Petrovietnam’s corporate culture, BSR’s cultural identity, and the Code of Conduct for all employees, branches, and socio-political organizations within the company. The spirit of "We are One Team – One Goal" will continue to serve as the driving force in concretizing and elevating Petrovietnam’s corporate culture.
In his closing remarks, Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Steering Committee and the Implementation Team of BSR’s Corporate Culture Project. He emphasized that the valuable insights shared at the conference will be incorporated into the company's policies and procedures, laying a solid foundation for strengthening BSR’s corporate culture in the coming years. Corporate culture is not only a defining element of BSR’s identity but also a guiding principle for the company’s sustainable development.
